The Highway Code [140] stipulates Cycle lanes as: "These are shown by road markings and signs. You MUST NOT drive or park in a cycle lane marked by a solid white line during its times of operation. Do not drive or park in a cycle lane marked by a broken white line unless it is unavoidable. You MUST NOT park in any cycle lane whilst waiting restrictions apply." [Law RTRA sects 5 & 8].

Penalty code N065: Fail to conform to a traffic sign, namely a bus lane or contravening Route for buses/pedal cycles. Refers to laws S 36 RTA 88 Reg 19 TSGD Regs 02 & Sch 2 RTOA 88.

Penalty code N092: No Waiting. Refers to laws S5(1) S8(1), S52(5) RTRA 84.
